This calculator is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical, fitness, or nutritional guidance. Body-fat figures are estimates from a circumference formula and may not reflect your true body composition. Always consult a qualified physician or your unit's health professional before making decisions about weight, diet, or training — especially if you have any medical condition.
Not an official Army assessment
This is an independent, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, or any government agency, and it does not constitute an official Army Body Composition Program (ABCP) determination. The only measurement that counts for any official purpose is the one taken and recorded by your unit under AR 600-9. Treat our result as a personal estimate, not a replacement for the official tape test.
Accuracy
We work to reproduce the Army's 2023 one-site body-fat method and standards faithfully, including the official rounding. We make no guarantee, however, that results are error-free or current with the latest policy. Standards and procedures can change; verify anything important against the current AR 600-9 and your chain of command.
Acceptable use
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to scrape, mirror, overload, reverse-engineer for redistribution, or attempt to disrupt or attack the site or its infrastructure.
Intellectual property
The site's design, text, and original code belong to the site operator, except for third-party components used under their own licenses and factual data — such as the public AR 600-9 standards — that is not subject to copyright. You may not republish the site's content as your own.
